CrossCountry Mortgage (CCM), the nation’s number one distributed retail mortgage lender, and the Cleveland Browns teamed up to host a family field day on Saturday, April 20th for local Military children and families in recognition of Month of the Military Child.
Month of the Military Child is nationally recognized in April. In partnership with the Northeast Ohio Foundation for Patriotism (NEOPAT), children and families were invited to CrossCountry Mortgage Campus in Berea to participate in the special event. Browns Youth Football Team coaches led the children through football-related activities and games while families cheered them on from the sidelines. Guests also enjoyed lunch and giveaways on behalf of CrossCountry Mortgage.
“At CrossCountry Mortgage, we understand that the sacrifices made by the brave individuals in our Military go beyond those on the front lines. Those sacrifices extend to the children and families bravely supporting their loved ones back home,” said Laura Soave, Chief Brand Officer, CCM. “We’re honored to partner with the Cleveland Browns to host NEOPAT to recognize all members of the Military family, including our youngest Military heroes.”
NEOPAT is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting patriotism and remembering those who have lost their lives fighting for our freedoms. The organization provides emergency assistance, educational scholarships, employment assistance, and other resources to support local Military Members and families, including support for Military children.
“This event was a fun and special opportunity to celebrate the children and youth in our communities who are part of a Military family,” said Greg Renkas, Executive Director of NEOPAT. “We’re thankful for the generosity and support of organizations like CrossCountry Mortgage and the Cleveland Browns who make moments like this possible.”
“We were proud to host this event at our CrossCountry Mortgage Campus and bring the love of the game to local Military families,” said Haslam Sports Group Vice President of Community Relations, Jenner Tekancic. “We respect and admire these Servicemembers and their loved ones for their continued commitment to our country and communities.”
CCM’s commitment to the Military extends year-round. The company proudly employs nearly 250 Veterans and offers VA loans as part of its lending portfolio. The company looks forward to continuing these commitments in the year ahead.
